Thanks to the training and initial support of PROFOR, Luciana was able to open her own beauty salon and over the years she has always performed gestures of help and solidarity for her community. In Salvador de Bahia, where Luciana works and lives with her family, The Covid19 situation is very critical. Due to the crisis her husband and son lost their jobs and her beauty salon had to remain closed in compliance with anti-contagion provisions. In these circumstances, Luciana’s attention was caught by a man intent on looking for food in the garbage. She approached him first of all to talk to him and then to give him some comfort with a little help in money. The man thanked her, especially because he had not spoken to anyone for three days, as if he were invisible. In the following days, Luciana’s family received help that allowed them to cover a debt. This event was for her a clear sign of hope generated by that gesture of generosity and reciprocity .
