Despite the Covid19 pandemic , work continues in Mozambique to support the population after the terrible flood of 2019.
In March 2019, a devastating flood hit Mozambique and the Emergency Coordination of the Focolare Movement with AMU and AFN, immediately took action to support the local population in collaboration with the mission of Fazenda da Esperança present in the affected areas. After the first interventions to respond to the primary needs of the community, such as the distribution of food, the reconstruction of housing and sanitation for displaced families, the repair of shelters, the hospital, the secondary school and the Church, we started an accompaniment project for the creation of sources of income and sustenance for the population. 
Although the Coronavirus has slowed down activities, the community has not given up and today the carpentry and mill works are being completed , agricultural equipment has been purchased and put in common and small agricultural cooperatives have been created, each consisting of 10 families. Together with the Fazenda da Esperança, the community is pursuing a development path that will soon allow it to emerge from the difficulties caused by the typhoon and the pandemic and live with dignity from its own skills and work .
