UN ANNO EUROPEO PER L’ECONOMIA SOCIALE

Two hundred young people from across Europe have launched a petition to declare 2018 as the “Year of Sustainable and Inclusive Economy”.

The young people of the European project “Challenging the Crisis” presented this petition to the European Parliament. For three years they confronted each other and questioned themselves on how to challenge the crisis and especially its structural causes, which produces injustice, inequality, poverty around the world but also in Europe. The Sustainable and Inclusive Economy (SIE) has been identified as a possible answer to this crisis: an economy at the service of people, inclusive, respectful of the environment and of the human rights, that redesigns the space between public and private. An individual for example becomes “social” and aims to be responsible for the social dignity of all persons, including that of the disadvantaged groups of the population, as a view from the agenda established for 2030: “no one left behind”.

The petition presented to the European Parliament requests that 2018 will be the International Year of the SIE: a year of confrontation, training and focus on institutional policy on new forms of community economy, linked to the territory and its needs, and based on two pillars: social and environmental justice.

In order to be approved it must be signed by half of European Members of Parliament by 1^st March 2017. We invite the Members of the European Parliament to sign it ![:it]

Duecento ragazzi di tutta Europa lanciano una petizione perché il 2018 sia dichiarato “Anno dell’Economia Sociale e Solidale”.

Sono i ragazzi del progetto europeo Challenging the Crisis a presentare questa petizione al Parlamento europeo. Per tre anni si sono confrontati e interrogati su come poter sfidare la crisi e soprattutto le sue cause strutturali, che hanno prodotto ingiustizia, disuguaglianza, povertà in tutto il mondo e anche in Europa. L’Economia Sostenibile e Solidale (ESS) è stata individuata come una risposta possibile a questa crisi: un’economia al servizio delle persone, inclusiva, rispettosa dell’ambiente e dei diritti umani, che ridisegna lo spazio tra pubblico e privato. Un privato che si fa sociale e si propone come responsabile della dignità sociale di tutte le persone, anche attraverso il lavoro per le fasce svantaggiate della popolazione, nell’ottica affermata dall’agenda 2030, no one left behind.

La petizione presentata al Parlamento europeo chiede che il 2018 sia dichiarato Anno Internazionale dell’ESS: un anno di confronto, formazione e attenzione politica istituzionale sulle nuove forme di economia di comunità, legate al territorio, ai suoi bisogni e fondate su due pilastri: giustizia sociale e ambientale.

Affinché venga approvata deve essere firmata dalla metà dei Parlamentari europei entro il 1 marzo 2017. Invitiamo i parlamentari del Parlamento europeo a firmarla!
