The One School for All project has started work with involvement from the community.
Before roads became unsafe or impassable due to the rainy season in Sierra Leone, work on the extension of the Serekolia Middle School under AMU’s One School for All project began with the procurement of materials. The community has also been mobilised and started to deliver sand to the construction site as part of its contribution to the school.
Meanwhile, another piece of good news came: the government has approved a secondary school section. This will allow students who finish the three years of secondary school in Serekolia to continue their higher education (a further three years) without leaving Chiefdom. The Catholic parish has already started and almost completed the construction of a building with three classrooms.
