The Association Action for a United World – ONLUS is looking for EXPERT OPERATORS IN MIGRANT RECEPTION AND MEDIATION as part of the project “ Empowerment paths towards autonomy and inclusion: Creating a System Beyond Reception ” financed by the FAMI Fund (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020 – Specific Objective 1. Asylum – National Objective ON 1 – letter c) – Strengthening the 1st and 2nd reception system – Notice Creation of individual paths for socio-economic autonomy) with the aim of promoting the completion of individual autonomy paths for holders of International Protection (PI). Place of work: Emilia Romagna (activities will mainly take place in Reggio nell’Emilia, Parma, Bologna, Modena)

Function description:
The resource will have to: • select the project beneficiaries and provide them with guidance, through the construction and implementation of individual socio-economic integration paths; • enhance the working and housing autonomy capacities of individuals, through the strengthening of specific individual skills and abilities; • promote the participation of beneficiaries in the “local reception networks”, based on nodes of families, volunteers, associations and Italian companies available and adequately trained to play the role of “incubator” of the socio-relational autonomy of the beneficiaries. A strategy for starting autonomy requires, in fact, to progressively put the recipients in a position to independently deal with multiple aspects of daily life such as: housing, training, employment and above all participation in the social life of the local community.
Mandatory requirements:
– Degree in subjects related to the project’s intervention sector (social workers, cultural mediation, sociology, etc.). – Previous experience working with migrants, including as an operator, volunteer, center coordinator, listening center or similar. – Relational and empathetic skills necessary to get in touch with the project’s recipients, becoming a point of reference for them in the process of achieving individual autonomy goals. – Excellent organizational, synthesis, teamwork, stress management skills. – Ability to interface with different actors: businesses, families, associations, operators, etc. – Organizational flexibility and ability to self-organize work. Preferred requirements: – Specialization and refresher courses in subjects related to migratory phenomena, reception, protection of asylum seekers and refugees. – Experience and/or training in the Skills Assessment. – Experience and/or training in orientation and/or attitudinal orientation interviews. – Experience and/or training in intercultural mediation. – Knowledge of English, French and Arabic.
