On the hill of Rugeregere, in the province of Cibitoke (Burundi), the project Si può fare! has given life to two training laboratories that
They brought together four local networks , under the supervision of CASOBU and in partnership with AMU. The two meetings took place in the municipality of Rugombo.
These workshops aimed to provide new skills to the 65 members of the savings and credit groups brought together within the four networks.
Various topics were discussed during the meetings, including:
• the importance of creating networks of savings and credit groups;
• understanding what a network is and how it works;
• raising awareness of the qualities and attitudes of a good leader;
• knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the various bodies of the network;
• the acquisition of tools for managing community problems.
The satisfaction of the 65 participants
Participants expressed great appreciation for the networking effort, recognizing its positive aspects, especially in solving problems within groups and communities.
This is, in fact, what the networks will serve: they will contribute to strengthening the cohesion and internal management of savings and credit groups , promoting the development and change of community life.
