The AMU joins the appeal signed by 50 retired Italian ambassadors to ask our government to resolve its ambiguity and take a stand on what is happening in the Gaza Strip.
Those who feel deeply disturbed and at the same time helpless in the face of the massacre currently being carried out against the population of the Gaza Strip have an opportunity to voice their demands for measures against the State of Israel and for recognition of the Palestinians’ right to a state of their own , as the Holy See has already done for some time. This is a condition for encouraging an end to the ongoing massacres and laying the foundations for a future that finally sees the implementation of UN resolutions and respect for the law of nations.
