The experiences of the protagonists
During the first day, three local entrepreneurs shared their stories, the challenges they faced and the goals they achieved. These testimonies represented a concrete example of how, starting from the territory, it is possible to build an economy that puts the person and the common good at the center.
A particularly notable moment was the speech by Jesús Peterson , a Panamanian entrepreneur, who spoke about his professional career and his vision of the importance of social commitment in the business world. Emphasizing how social responsibility must be an essential value for today’s businesses.
Significant contributions to a more humane economy
The congress also welcomed interventions by other experts and representatives of significant realities, such as José Quintero who presented the CUSI project, a symbol of innovation and social commitment; Janeth Mena, of the NGO RIKOLTO, who highlighted the fundamental role of association for collective growth; David Jaramillo , economist of the International Labour Organization (ILO), who offered a reflection on decent and supportive work.
Each intervention represented a learning opportunity and a strong reminder of the concrete possibility of creating a more just and fraternal economy, starting from local communities.
