In Burundi, drinking water is a determining factor for health , especially today with the Covid19 epidemic that involves all humanity. In recent years we have accompanied the community of Rukanda in the project to build an aqueduct and fountains to bring drinking water close to the homes of about 850 families. The project ” Water, source of life and development “, which also includes the experimental use of 20 ecological toilets, has improved the hygiene and health conditions of the population of the hill. Having achieved this goal, with the advent of the Coronavirus, we have chosen to continue to support the local team of the NGO CASOBU , our partner in the projects in Burundi, safeguarding their jobs, while waiting to follow new projects together to free the development of local communities. There is still a lot to do, from food security, to hygiene, to community micro-credit to stimulate income-generating activities and we have decided to remain alongside the protagonists of these paths. In this time of great difficulty throughout the world, we remain close to the communities that are experiencing the greatest difficulties and are in grave danger.
