UNIVERSAL CIVIL SERVICE – If you are between 18 and 28 years old you can become a protagonist of the project “Young people towards global citizenship”
AMU is looking for a volunteer for the Grottaferrata (RM) office to be included in projects global citizenship education, particularly in contexts with greater vulnerability, working mainly with local youth.
How can you participate?
If you are between 18 and 28 years old you can submit your application until 2pm on Wednesday 26 January 2022, exclusively through the Domanda on Line (DOL) platform accessible via PC, tablet and smartphone at the address https://domandaonline.serviziocivile.it where, through a simple search system with filters, you can choose the project for which to apply. The civil service recognizes volunteers a monthly allowance of 444.30 euros. What does the project do? AMU is committed every day to building a more united world, also through the implementation of international projects of education for global citizenship, in particular in contexts with greater vulnerability, working mainly with young people in the area. The aim of the project is to contribute to the education and training of young generations for Peace, in the territory of the Province of Rome, in order to combat discrimination and exclusion, and promote the development of welcoming and supportive societies. Activities After adequate training, volunteers will be involved in the organization of
- global citizenship education workshops aimed at students and teachers, with the creation of specific teaching kits
- educational paths for some classes of lower and upper secondary schools
- meetings with the aim of promoting solidarity and critical awareness among young people regarding issues closely connected to active and global citizenship.
- training and content development activities and the development of new project proposals
- communication activities for the implementation and dissemination of the project results (articles, news, information sheets, posts, to be conveyed through the main communication channels)
- organization of activities within the framework of the “United World Week”, an event that is repeated annually in different parts of the world and that brings together actions and good practices aimed at raising awareness among all citizens on the issues of peace and global citizenship

An opportunity for training and growth Thanks to the Universal Civil Service you will have the opportunity to live an important training and personal growth experience through which you can contribute to processes of social cohesion and civil commitment. Working closely with cooperation professionals you will contribute practically to the projects and their dissemination and communication. At the end of the service there will also be a career orientation course.
In short :
- age between 18 and 28 years
- Service duration 12 months
- service hours equal to 25 hours per week
- check of 444.30 euros per month
- Availability to travel or transfer within the national territory for collective training sessions (costs paid by the institution); weekend commitment (on average one weekend per month).
- the application must be submitted by 2:00 pm on 26 January 2022
- the calendar for the selection interview will be published by CIPSI and AMU at least 10 days before their start
- the selection interviews may also be carried out by the Commissions online, in consideration of the ongoing Covid-19 epidemiological emergency, where there are no conditions to carry out the tests in person
- The start of service will presumably take place by spring 2022
- in the event of equal scores in the selection rankings, the older candidate will have precedence
