AMU works to accompany the most vulnerable communities in their development path, helping them to unleash their potential and capabilities. Companies that join the EdC share their annual profits for three purposes:
- development and assistance projects for people in need;
- training courses in the culture of giving;
- consolidation and growth of the company.
Together, AMU and EdC develop and implement interventions aimed at starting and consolidating income-generating and productive activities with a high social impact, to create new employment and income opportunities for people in a state of vulnerability. The aspects of material growth such as the creation of income-generating activities and access to a dignified life are inseparable from those of personal and community growth such as the rediscovery of one’s own abilities, attention to others and trust in building a relationship of brotherhood. 2021 was the year in which, with the pandemic not yet under control everywhere, a great challenge was launched: to continue to respond to emergencies and at the same time not to neglect commitments to development and international cooperation projects. Because these interventions, carried out in a participatory and inclusive way, are one of the best forms of prevention and construction of responses to emergency events and opportunities to seize opportunities for change and improvement.
