Arianna is a young Cuban entrepreneur who, together with her husband, created “Lumen”, a shop that produces and sells lamps made from recycled materials. Since she met the EdC, she began to promote the values of communion in her work environment, weaving a thin but resistant thread that unites women and entrepreneurship. Faced with the many challenges of those who have started a business in Cuba, and the many difficulties to face, Arianna felt the need to share her experience and the desire to meet other women entrepreneurs like her to “create a space in which to listen to each other, renew motivations and transmit new energy to those who feel “disconnected” due to the effort to survive”. So the team of the Hub-EdC of Cuba proposed to her to realize this desire and On July 23rd the meeting “Mothers Entrepreneurs” was organized in Havana. Arianna launched the event on social media like this: “Enterprising Moms Meeting. We are more than halfway through the year and with this heat, in addition to the socio-political events, it seems that the batteries are running out. That is why we organized this meeting. We will share experiences and challenges. So, if you are one of us, you can participate.” The meeting – led by Arianna and colleagues from Hub EdC – it was a space where several women had a pleasant and spontaneous conversation about the topics they consider most urgent for carrying out an entrepreneurial activity and being “resilient and responsible women”. The event was broadcast online, allowing many women to follow it remotely. And it was very much appreciated. Here are some comments: “a meeting full of lights and very productive”; “super interesting and regenerating for us women”.
