Search for a Designer and Coordinator of Development Cooperation Projects - at the headquarters - Grottaferrata (Rome)

 

The NGO AMU ( www.amu-it.eu ) is selecting a Designer and Project Coordinator , at the Grottaferrata office, who will be responsible for coordinating development cooperation projects in collaboration with local counterparts in different geographical areas and fields of intervention. Full-time contract of 6+6 months, with a permanent contract. Deadline for sending CVs: 14/11/2022 Profile sought FUNCTION:

  • Coordinate development cooperation projects;
  • Provide support and technical assistance to local counterparts.

MAIN TASKS:

  • Analyze project proposals received from local counterparts, develop and carry out feasibility studies on them in collaboration with local counterparts.
  • Develop projects and prepare complete documentation in collaboration with local counterparts.
  • Manage projects in collaboration with local counterparts, providing them with support and technical assistance.
  • Monitor and supervise all management, procedural and relational aspects of the projects entrusted, both at headquarters and in the countries of implementation through specific periodic missions.
  • Ensure that activities are carried out according to the times and methods established by the project and any institutional financiers.
  • Analyze and verify project reporting prepared by local counterparts and ensure its correct preparation.
  • Evaluate the results and impacts of the projects implemented, drafting the related reports.
  • Coordinate with the Communications and Fundraising Office, the Institutional Partnerships Office, the Administration and Human Resources Office and the Global Citizenship Education Sector in defining intervention, financing and project administration strategies.
  • Draft project proposals to submit to institutional funders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five-year degree in economic/social disciplines, preferably development cooperation or international political science.
  • Masters or training courses in social impact design and evaluation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning, coordinating and managing development cooperation projects.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of the project cycle, the Theory of Change approach and related operational tools.
  • Knowledge of the main methodologies for generating and evaluating social impact.
  • Knowledge of the main constituent elements of a business plan, for the implementation of production and community development projects (preferential).
  • Ability to draft reports and reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and knowledge of at least one other foreign language (among Arabic, French, Spanish and Portuguese).
  • Strategic vision ability.
  • Organizational autonomy and initiative, ability to manage time and resources, ability to analyze one’s work and the results achieved with a view to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a team, ability to coordinate the work of other people and ability to mediate conflicts.
  • Ability to manage partnership networks and institutional relations at international and intercultural level.
  • Ability to research and analyze data and information on the web.
  • Knowledge and ability to use current MS Office applications or equivalent, especially Excel and equivalent.
  • Availability for short-term missions outside Europe

 

Contract type

  • Initial 6-month maternity leave replacement contract;
  • Subsequent full-time, fixed-term employee contract lasting 6 months, renewable;
  • Indefinite transformation prospect.
