Young entrepreneurs from Salvador de Bahia have promoted solidarity actions for the most vulnerable people in the community.
In addition to the “material” support and accompaniment activities that reached young people and adults, the young entrepreneurs participating in the “Eu Empreendor de mem” project, during the hardest phases of the pandemic, freely committed themselves to carrying out activities that arose from the creativity of each individual. One of the most heartfelt actions was the “ Phone Call for Good ” aimed at elderly people forced to stay home alone due to quarantine. A group of participants organized a series of phone calls or online calls to provide listening and comfort to those who were experiencing that difficult situation . A simple and creative initiative that allowed the young people supported by the project to continue to provide mutual support and listening themselves, establishing a bond of reciprocity with people who, by receiving the calls, found relief from loneliness by making a concrete gesture of support for their community.
