The news of the Corona Virus pandemic infection chase each other, highlighting that we are one race, with the same genetic heritage, the same way of getting sick, one single humanity. However, we are not all the same when faced with disease: people in poverty or in the tragedy of war start with a serious handicap. Among the many, the Syrian people, still at war, who today face the emergency crushed by a very heavy total embargo, sanctioned by the USA and Europe.
We can no longer, after this universal experience of pain, turn our faces away. We can do something, and right now!
We have drafted this appeal for the Secretary General of the United Nations, President Trump and the major European institutions, to overcome, at least temporarily, the embargo for all medical supplies and for financial transactions to be able to supply them. A first step to then work on other commitments for other peoples in the same situation.
We also need you, your commitment to multiply the strength of this “call” to commitment for peace.
