The actions of solidarity and reciprocity continue, carried out by the vast global network of Living Peace International !
Several of these activities have an artistic value, capable of conveying messages of respect, joy of living and care for others. Art is a language that can enhance beauty as an expression of Peace and Life.

Thanks to art, another piece has been added to the construction of the culture of peace!
The 3rd online edition of the extraordinary Canto per la Paz 2021 music festival, entitled “A Paz é não um Utopia – Peace is not a utopia” , ended on November 13. An initiative born in Portugal together with the Canto pela Paz Association which aims to bring together young people from different religions, churches and cultures to build peace through music.
This year the event, promoted by AMU Portugal in close collaboration with Living Peace International in Oeiras- Portugal and conducted in English by two local young people, was attended by 22 groups from 16 countries across 4 continents. Boys who with their voices, tones, rhythms and words have managed to convey messages of hope, friendship, inclusion, commitment and love … Like Luana from Italy who sang out loud: “Today I no longer want to be a spectator of this reality, I want to take back control of the fate and joys of my city!”
Or like Franck from the DR Congo who with his words set to music reminds us that: “our difference is the luck we have. It shows how love triumphs between us…One for all and all for one…We have chosen Peace.”

For the occasion of the Festival, most of the participating groups composed their own songs, through highly professional video clips and music.

Thanks to the Municipality that made the hall available and through local and national television networks, radios, newspapers and various organizations that contributed to publicizing the event, there were over 4,000 views on the YouTube channel . In addition, there were messages of gratitude, support and admiration from personalities and religious leaders, including the Ambassador of Italy to Portugal.

But it doesn’t end here! A “singing for peace” competition has been launched to choose the song that will become the official anthem of Canto pela Paz : the rules for participation will be released in December and during United World Week (1st week of May) the chosen song will be announced!

And you, what are you waiting for? You too can support the actions of the participants of Living Peace International, a path of involvement that unites young people and adults who are “builders” of PEACE!
