May 27 was a special day for the students of the Galilei high school in Catania, an opportunity to discover how to build peace accompanied by young leaders and ambassadors of peace. A moment that immediately involved everyone when Sheara, one of the protagonists of Living Peace, threw the dice of peace and invited everyone to live the action that was written on the outgoing face. A true harmony of peace, enthusiasm and emotional listening was immediately created among everyone. All the boys committed themselves with responsibility to build the moment of the show by making the most of their talent in favor of peace. A strong and touching experience for them too, which generated unexpected joy and enthusiasm in their hearts.
During the event, poems, reflections, musical contributions, dances on Peace, writings in French on Peace, a Peace relay, a tableau vivant of Guernica with a Spanish-language narrator and a production in English were presented. All the contributions and reflections on peace enthralled those present, creating a family atmosphere and true testimony that transmitted so much hope, joy and harmony. “Prof. I who can never sit still, was not distracted for a moment and at times I even got emotional” is the comment of one of the boys most struck by the moments spent together. “It was truly fantastic – says another boy – having had the opportunity to participate in this event, I am very happy with the reactions and the warmth we received today”. The Headmistress also thanked and complimented everyone and came out enchanted, saying: “Thank you for your commitment, the seriousness, the sense of responsibility that you have demonstrated today, you have generated a Harmony of Peace”.
Every day Living Peace International offers the opportunity to experience moments like this, larger or smaller, always managing to share moments of brotherhood with its network and with those who come into contact with it. A constant encouragement for everyone to be, in their own way, promoters and builders of peace!
